TRUCK & TRACTOR PULL GUIDELINES

CONTEST PROCEDURES


PROCEDURES:

  1. All pulls must start with a tight chain. Vehicle to be CENTERED on hitch point of sled.

  2. Each competitor will be allowed 2 attempts to make a measurable pull if first attempt is less than 75’.

  3. On his/her attempt, if competitor lets off throttle before 75’. Competitor will get 2nd attempt even if beyond 75’ mark. (Intent is for the driver NOT to slam on the brakes to stop before the 75’ mark or at any time but come to a smooth safe stop).

  4. Second attempt may be taken immediately, or competitor may drop to 3rd last position.

  5. Pulling order to be determined by drawing numbers, names or in order of numbers issued at registration if all competitors agree.

  6. In a pull-off, competitor is allowed 2 attempts to make a measurable pull. No test-puller in pull-off.

  7. Vehicle to remain within boundaries of contest course during pull.

  8. Mandatory attendance at DRIVER MEETING, if held.

GENERAL RULES - ATV, SXS, LAWN TRATOR, TRUCK & TRACTOR PULL


RULES:

  1. NO ALCOHOL consumption in pit, staging or track area before competition by any competitor, pit crew member or track official. NO UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT or FIGHTING.

  2. Track Official’s decisions are final in any dispute. However, with a showing of reasonable good cause the track official may revise or reverse his decision.

  3. NO ONE on the track other than Flag persons, Competitor and Sled operator during competition. "1 PARENT/GUARDIAN IF MINOR PULLING"

  4. All vehicles must operate in a safe manner within the confines of the pit, track, staging areas and event grounds. MAX 8 MPH. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.

  5. All vehicles required to have a qualified operator in seat while being started and when running.

  6. Competitor must have both hands in full view of flag person and hitch person and have vehicle in PARK or NEUTRAL while hooking and unhooking from sled.

  7. Driver to remain seated during pull.

  8. Driver only in/on vehicle while being driven or towed. Driver only on tow vehicle (if used) NO RIDERS.

  9. NO mixing of classes

  10. Vehicle may compete only once in each class.

  11. Non-member vehicles subject to Tech. Inspection and MUST meet all safety and vehicle requirements.

  12. Non-compliance of rules and/or procedures by driver, pit crew or vehicle is cause for DISQUALIFICATION.

  13. Promoter/sled operator reserves the right to refuse any competitor or vehicle to participate in any event under their direction.

  14. Age Restriction:
    TRUCK & TRACTOR PULL: No competitors under 16 years of age. Ages 16-18 with parent/guardians written consent required.
    SNOWMOBILE DRAGS: No competitors under 16 years of age.
    LAWN TRACTOR PULLS: No competitors under 6 years of age. Ages 6-16 with parent/guardians written consent required. Parent/guardian must be present and walk beside. NO MODIFICTIONS OEM ONLY
    ATVS & SIDE X SIDES: No competitors under 12 years of age. Ages 12-16 with parent/guardians written consent required. Parent/guardian must be present and walk beside. N0 MODIFICTIONS OEM ONLY

SINGLE ENGINE MODIFIED 2WD TRACTOR 6500LBS - Paid Show


GUIDELINES:

  • Engine must be in the stock location, which is defines as being within the engine compartment as manufactured, behind the stock grill, and in front of the stock firewall.

  • The vehicle may run without a radiator, and the engine may be moved forward or back as long as it complies with the engine section (see below).

  • Except for high performance type starters with crankshaft drive, the rear of the engine block may not be moved forward of the center line of the front axle.

  • Engines are only allowed to run a maximum of 2 valves per cylinder head and one spark plug per cylinder.

  • Fuel injection, carburetors and headers may protrude through the hood.

  • The vehicle must have vertical exciting exhaust with the pipe being a minimum of one foot above the hood line, and may only have a 10-degree variance in any direction

WEIGHTS:

The weights must be securely fastened to the vehicle and must not extend no further than 60 inches from the centerline of the front wheel.

ENGINES:
  • 465 CUBIC INCH maximum engine size

  • Stroking and de-stroking of engines is permitted.

  • Only cast-iron block and cylinder heads are permitted. Aftermarket blocks and cylinder heads are allowed, as long as they are of cast type.

  • Aluminum cylinder heads are permitted

  • A single carburetor is permitted, or fuel injection if factory equipped for that year truck and block.

  • The engine must be naturally aspirated.

  • Open headers are permitted and must exit either in a vertical fashion (within 10 degrees of vertical) or down and back exiting towards the rear of the vehicle.

  • Any intake, ignition, cam, piston or dome will be permitted.

  • Engine must be same brand as truck.

Nitrous oxide and its equipment or any other oxygen carrying fuel additives is not permitted.

Alcohol is not legal fuel for this class.

CLUTCH & TRANSMISSION:

  • Any clutch or torque converter may be used}
  • Aftermarket clutches and torque converters are permitted.
  • Any automotive transmission and transfer case may be used.
  • Quick change rear end may be used and does not have to match manufacture of vehiclecompeting.
REARENDS:

Quick change rear ends are not permitted. If the competitor is using a role style rear end, they MUST NOT be able to change speeds from within the driving compartment.

Planetary rear ends are permitted.

BODY & CHASSIS:

There shall be no hood alterations except to allow clearance for fuel and exhaust.

TRACTOR FARM STOCK: 6500, 7500, 8500, 10500, 12500, 15500, 20000, 20500 – Large Frame, Articulator


Tractor has original motor, any year & may have motor upgrades, hitch is not to exceed 20" off ground level.

All participants will weigh into their class and remain in staging area and be ready to hook. Leaving area will require you to reweight. Spotweighs are always present.

GENERAL RULES FOR TRACTORS:
  • Drawbar must be solid mount having no movement in any direction and NO higher than 20" from ground level. High hitches will result in disqualification from class.

  • No pulling from 3-point hitch arms.

  • In no case will weight behind rear axle be allowed.

  • All tractors must have engine throttle controlled only by the manufacturer's original throttle linkage.

  • All tractors must have fenders.

  • Drivers must remain seated during the pull, be in complete control at all times and follow the instructions of track officials.

  • Safety is ALWAYS an issue. Any unsafe acts which include but not limited to being impaired by drugs, alcohol and/or weaving down track will not be tolerated. Unsafe acts will result in brakes applied at the operator’s discretion.

  • A "jerk" start on the sled will result in immediate brakes applied and you will be disqualified.

  • Weighmaster, judges and flagmen decisions are final.

  • Any weights or parts falling from tractor during the pull will result in disqualification.

  • Officials reserved the right to reweigh.

  • Front wheels of tractor lifting more than 3G" off the ground will result in disqualification.

  • Tractors must be in neutral while being hooked and unhooked.

  • The test puller, first to register for the class, has the option of another pull. The driver must tell the official of their decision before leaving the track.

  • Unsportsmanlike behavior will NOT be tolerated and will result in disqualification and you may be asked to leave the grounds.

  • The owner of the tractor is solely responsible for any damage to the vehicle and will not hold the organizers or property owner liable for any damages.

  • We may add or delete class’s day of event.

NON-CIRCUIT 4X4 DIESEL TRUCK “STOCK” 8500LBS


GENERAL RULES:

  • All Non-Circuit 4x4 Diesel Truck classes are competing for prizes only, The Pull Promoter determines all prizes.
  • The Pull Promoted will determine the class weight.
  • The Trucks must be street legal, licensed and insured for the road. Dealer plates and/or permits allowed. Driver must have proof of insurance upon request.
  • Hitch point is to be rearmost point of the truck with a maximum height of 24” Reese style hitch only.
  • Suspension stops may be used but there must be movement
  • All added weight must be secure in the box of flatbed. Factory snow play harness and properly mounted winches are permitted. Front bumpers must be original factory production type.
  • Engines must use OEM intake exhaust manifold(s), OEM injector pump and injectors.
  • The vehicle must have the correct engine block and head for that model and model of year and be in stock appearance.
  • Pump diesel fuel only. No pressurized fuels or oxidizers of any kind. This includes alcohol, water, propane, nitrous and oxygen.
  • All exhaust must exit behind the cab
  • Aftermarket cold air intake, exhaust system and a single programmer permitted.
  • Two drive shaft hoops front and rear. Any exposed u joints to be covered made of minimum ¼” thick steel is required if:
    • Engine is performance enhanced
    • Tires measure a diameter of over 33 inches unless original equipment for make and model year
  • Suspension is modified (including lateral bars)
  • Tires must be in good condition and road worthy.
  • All general rules apply to non-circuit 4x4 diesel truck classes

TRUCK NON-CIRCUIT 4x4 GAS “STOCK” 6500Lbs, 7500Lbs, 8500Lbs


GENERAL RULES:

  • All 4X4 Truck classes are competing for prizes only; no points will be awarded. The pull promoted determines all prizes.

  • The pull promoted will determine all the class weight

  • Truck must be street legal, licensed and insured for the road. Dealer plates or trip permits allowed.

  • Hitch point is to be the rearmost point of the truck with a maximum height of 24 inches. Reese type hitch only.

  • Suspension stops may be used but there must be movement.

  • All added weight must be secured in the box or flatbed. Factory produced snowplow harness and properly mounted winches are permitted. Front bumpers must be original factory production style or equivalent in factory position.

  • Truck must be OEM fuel and air system for the model vehicle.

  • Pump gas only. No race fuels. No pressurized fuels or oxidizers of any kind. This includes alcohol, propane, nitrous and oxygen.

  • All exhaust must exit behind the cab through a muffler

  • Aftermarket cold air intakes, exhaust system and a single programmer permitted.

  • Two drive shaft hoops front and rear. Any exposed u-joins to be covered by a minimum ¼” thick steel is required if engine is performance enhanced.

  • Tires measure a diameter of over 33 inches unless

  • Original equipment

  • Suspension is modified (including lateral bars)

  • Tires must be in good condition and road worthy.

  • All general rules apply to non-circuit 4x4 gas truck classes.

TRUCK S.E.M. 2x4 6500LBS - No entries,No Prizes Paid Shows


GENERAL & SAFETY:

  • Rubber tires only, No duals. No 4wd. No loaded tires. Maximum tire size 30.5" x 32", or smaller

  • Tractor must have working rear brakes. Must be able to stop tractor

  • Stabilizer bars required:

    • Minimum 32" from center of rear axle to rear of pad
    • Minimum 20“ outside pad to outside pad
    • Minimum pad 5" x 5" 1/4 thickness
    • Maximum pad to ground 10" 8 preferred
    • Vertical bumper required 12" up from rear pad
    • Horizontal brace from top of bumper inward securely attached
    • Bumper to extend minimum 2" beyond radius of tire

  • Neutral or Park safety switch required:

    • Must interrupt starter circuit to prevent starting in gear

  • All Modified and Pro- Stock Tractor Drivers MUST wear:

  • All tractors must have WORKING fire extinguisher mounted to machine accessible to driver.-Minimum 2.5Ib ACB or 1/5lb Halon

ENGINE:

PRO STREET DIESEL 3.0 TRUCKS 8500Lbs


GENERAL RULES:

  • Maximum Weight 8500 LBS
  • All trucks are subject to tech at any time, any truck in default of the rules will not be allowed to pull. No Exceptions. Prior to the first pull of the season EVERY truck must be checked for rule compliance prior to pulling.
  • No demo or grace hooks are allowed unless under class invite. No Exceptions.
  • The OEM Chassis is mandatory. The Vehicle must retain the full OEM Chassis that matches the length of OEM body. Wheel tubs, back-half conversions, tube chassis are prohibited. Vehicle wheelbase must not exceed and OEM Production 3.4 or 1 ton truck, No Cab and Chassis trucks permitted. Rigid suspension allowed. No airbags. Hydraulic steering is allowed.
  • The body must be an OEM truck body, including the complete OEM floor plan and must retain complete OEM firewall in factory location. Complete bed floor, hitch is allowed to protrude thru the bed floor w/ minimum amount of the floor removed. No flatbeds permitted. The body must retain the full sheet metal, aftermarket steel hood is permitted. The hood must be closed and securely latched while hooked to the sled. Headlights, taillights, maker lights and front bumper must be present.
  • Maximum engine size will be 460 cubic inches. Engine must have SFI harmonic balancer. No engine driven fans allowed. Engines must come from factory in one ton or smaller diesel pickup truck. Engine must remain in engine compartment as intended by manufacturer. Engine may be interchanged between manufacturers.
    • No aftermarket blocks permitted
    • Head must be OEM for the brand engine. No billet heads of any material
  • Front of engine black can be no farther than 17” of center line of front axle.
  • No batteries to be mounted in cab or truck.
  • Minimum of one functioning reverse light.
  • All engine will have a deflection shield, running the complete length of the block casting, height to be to bottom of ahead. Shield must be securely fastened and must be .060” thick (This equates to as steel inner fender)
  • Hook point must be no closer then 44” of center line of rear axle, hitch height maximum of 24”, with a minimum of a 3.75” x 3.0” opening. Hitch point must be easily accessed. No “Trick” type hitches permitted. Hitch must be stationary in all directions. Hitch must be frame mounted. Hitch must be mounted to center line or rear axle or behind. Hitch must not exceed a maximum of 25 degrees angle from pivot point to hook point. No hitch supports, or adjusters fastened to the rear axle housing shall be above the centerline of the rear axle. Pivot pin of drawbar can be no farther forward than center line of rear axle.
  • The turbocharger is smoot faced intake housing, limited to a maximum of 3.0” inlet (no map ring) with all air entering through the 3.0” opening. Intake wheel must protrude 1/8th inch inside of opening.
  • Exhaust must exit straight up, with (2) 3/8” bolts mounted in a cross pattern no more than 1” apart as close to the turbine wheel as possible, no more than 6” away from turbine wheel.
  • Intercoolers allowed. Dumping or draining intercoolers without a catch pan within 100 feet of competition track is prohibited.
  • Water injection is prohibited. All components must be removed from the truck.
  • Air shut off must have a cable that goes to the rear of the truck operated by the sled operator and also one to the cab of the truck. Kill switch will be securely mounted to the back of the vehicle and have two (2) inch diameter metallic ring to attach the sled.
  • Fuel Systems: Maximum of one P7100 pump, limited to one plunger per cylinder. The use of multiple high-pressure common rail fuel pumps of HPOPS is allowed. Electronic fuel injection is permitted. A 3-way dump valve mounted before the injection pump is mandatory which can be operated by the driver while strapped in the seat, required for mechanically injected truck only.
  • No fuel lines or thanks are permitted inside of truck cab unless securely mounted in marine box.
  • Fuel limited to diesel fuel. No alcohol, nitrous, propane or any oxygen enhancing agents allowed.
  • Must run DOT approved tires. Maximum measured tire height 35”m no studded ties or chains. No alteration to DOT tires allowed. Dual rear wheels are permitted on rear axle only. Maximum of six tires.
  • Front weights must be no more than 60” from the center line of the front axle to forward most point and be securely fastened. No weights are allowed in cab of the truck. If weights are located in the bed of the truck they are to be securely fastened to the bed of the truck.
  • Drive train will consist of the following: OEM front axle, OEM transfer case, OEM automatic or standard transmission available in ¾ or 1-ton trucks, and OEM rear axle, No planetary gears permitted.
  • All trucks must have working front and or rear brakes.
  • Automatic or manual transmissions must have functioning clutch safety switch or neutral safety switch.
  • No cast iron clutches or flywheels permitted, must be SFI approved. SFI bell housing blankets and or SFI blow proof bellhousing required. Automatic transmissions must have a full-length blanket or shield, must meet SFI 4.1
  • All trucks must have at least one u-joint shield around each driveshaft u-join on the truck. This shield shall completely cover the joint being projected. The shield may be steel or aluminum and must be at least ¼” thick. The rear driveshaft shall have one restraining hoop located approx. mid length or the driveshaft. This hoop shall be steel or aluminum and must be at least ¼” thick and securely mounted.
  • All intermediate shafts between transmissions and transfer case will be totally enclosed in 3/8” aluminum or 5/16” steel, 1/4” of shaft may be visible.
  • Fire extinguisher (2.5”) or fire suppression system, helmets Snell 90 or better, seatbelts and SFI fire suites required.
  • Class rules subject to change upon class vote.

SUPER STREET 2.6 DIESEL TRUCKS - 8500Lbs


GENERAL RULES:

  • This class is intended for street driven 3/4 or 1-ton diesel pickup trucks. All vehicles must be licensed and insured for the road. All safety equipment required to pass a safety inspection must be present and operational. Drivers must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Maximum weight: 8500lbS
  • Ballast weight:
    • All added weight must be mounted securely in the bed of the truck. No front mounted weight bars or hanging weights. No weight in the cab of the truck.
  • Batteries:
    • Must be securely mounted under the hood or under the floor.
  • Body:
    • The body used must have been available from the factory as a production 3/4 or 1-ton diesel pickup. Body must retain all factory sheet metal including the full bed floor, firewall and floor pan. Aftermarket steel hoods will be allowed. No Fiberglass hoods. OEM front bumper is mandatory. Rear bumper and tailgate may be removed. No cab and chassis type trucks or flat beds allowed.
  • lnterior:
    • The full factory interior must be retained. This includes front and rear seats, console, carpet, headliner, dashboard and factory glass. The factory seat belts must be in place and are to be worn at all times while hooked to the sled.
  • Brakes:
    • 4-wheel hydraulic brakes are mandatory and must be in good working order.
  • Chassis:
    • A factory made frame available in a production 3/4 or 1-ton 4x4 diesel truck must be used. Chassis must match the body for the make and model intended during production. The factory wheelbase for the chassis and body used must be retained. The full factory frame must be retained.
  • Driveline:
    • Transmission, transfer case, front and rear axle housings must have been available in a factory production 3/4 or 1-ton truck. Swapping from manufacturer to manufacturer is allowed.
  • Suspension:
    • A factory style front suspension must be retained. Ford trucks may convert to aftermarket 4 link style suspension. A full factory style rear suspension must be used. No solid welded suspension. Traction bars may be added. Welding is allowed for traction bar mounting points only. Suspension may be blocked solid with removable suspension stops. At least one working shock absorber is required at each wheel. Air bags will be allowed, no on-board air compressors or air tanks
  • Steering:
    • The full factory steering system must be used. No hydraulic assist or full hydraulic steering. Additional steering stabilizers may be used.
  • Tires:
    • Tires must be DOT approved. No cut or bar type tires. Dual rear wheels are allowed only in conjunction with a factory dually bed.
  • Hitches:
    • Maximum hitch height of 24" A factory-made receiver type hitch must be used. Hitch must be mounted only to the truck frame and must be rigid in all directions. No drawbar type pulling hitches. Reinforcements may be made from the hitch to the truck frame. No attachments to the frame forward of rear axle centreline. A minimum size hook opening of 3"x 3.75" must be provided as per general rules. Hook point may be no closer than 44" to rear axle centreline.
  • Engine:
    • Any diesel compression ignition engine available in a North American made 3/4 or 1-ton truck may be used. No aftermarket heads or blocks. Maximum displacement of 460 cubic inches. Engine swaps from make to make, model to model, or year to year will be allowed. Coolant must circulate freely in engine block and cylinder head. No hard-filled blocks or heads allowed. Must be equipped with a radiator in the stock location.
  • Fuel injection system:
    • Fuel injection pump is limited to a stock appearing OEM engine make specific pump only. No agricultural type governors. Dual high-pressure common rail pumps, or dual high-pressure oil pumps will be allowed. No hand throttles allowed, must use OEM throttle pedal assembly.
  • Fuel delivery system:
    • The factory installed fuel tank must be used. No aftermarket fuel cells. Diesel fuel only.
  • Intercoolers:
    • OEM equipment or aftermarket replacement air to air intercoolers only. Must be mounted in stock location. Water to air intercoolers are prohibited unless factory equipped.
  • Turbocharger:
    • The turbocharger compressor inducer size limit for the class is 2.6" (66mm). Single turbos only unless factory equipped.
  • The following turbocharger configurations will be allowed:

    • OEM factory production appearing turbocharger for the make and model year of engine used with a maximum inducer size of 2.6"/66mm. To be considered an OEM appearing turbo the factory compressor housing must be retained with an unmodified map enhancement groove as well as the factory centre section and turbine housing.
    • Borg warner S300 series turbochargers or a will be allowed with a maximum inducer size of 2.6"/66mm. Turbo must use an unmodified compressor housing retaining the factory type map groove as supplied from Borg warner. S300 style turbine housing must be used with a maximum of a T4 flange size. Reproduction type turbochargers using an S300 frame size will be allowed at the discretion of the tech committee.
    • Garrett GT40 series turbochargers will be allowed with a maximum inducer size of 2.6"/66mm. Turbo must use an unmodified compressor housing retaining the factory map groove as supplied from Garrett. Gt4O turbine housing must be used with a maximum of a T4 flange size.
    • Ford Power stroke 6.4 litre engines may utilize the factory compound turbo configuration. Turbos must not be modified in any way. Atmospheric turbo must retain the factory inducer bore of 2.59".
    • Any other turbocharger may be used with a maximum inducer size of 2.6"/66mm. Any turbo other than those listed above must use a smooth bore configuration. This means no map enhancement groove is allowed. Compressor wheel must protrude a minimum of 1/8" into the 2.6" bore. No provisions for air to enter the compressor wheel other than through the 2.6" bore will be allowed
    • Turbochargers will be inspected using a 2.650" diameter plug. Plug must not be able to contact face of compressor wheel. Competitors may be asked to make their turbochargers accessible for inspection at any time before or after a pull.
  • Injectable:
    • Water injection or water/methanol allowed (blue windshield washer only, no home-made mixtures).
  • Exhaust:
    • All vehicles must be equipped to direct exhaust upwards rearward of the cab, using either a stack through the bed floor or a 90 degree turn up installed securely on the tailpipe. Two 3/8 diameter cross bolts must be installed in the downpipe at 90 degrees to each other and within one inch of each other as close to the turbine housing as possible. No more than 12 inches from turbine housing to cross bolts.
  • Air shut off:
    • Post or pre-turbo Air shut off to be installed, will be activated by a cable extending to the rear of the vehicle and will terminate with a 2" diameter ring as per general rules. A second cable shall be routed into the driver’s compartment within easy reach of the driver while seated.
  • Driveshaft loops:
    • All trucks must have at least one driveshaft shield around each universal joint in the truck. This shield shall completely cover the joint being protected. The shield may be steel or aluminum and must be at least 1/4" thick. The rear driveshaft shall have a minimum of one restraining hoop located approx. mid length of the driveshaft. This hoop shall be steel or aluminum and must be at least 1/4" thick and securely mounted.
  • Flywheel/Flex plate:
    • Standard transmission trucks must use an SFI approved steel flywheel and clutch assembly. Automatic transmission trucks must use either an SFI approved flex plate or an SFI approved bellhousing blanket.
  • Top five trucks will be teched at every event.

  • ONE DRIVER PER VEHICLE LIMTED TO TWO CLASSES
  • RACE DIRECTOR HAS FINAL CALL ON ALL MATTERS




CAMPING RULES & FAQ


CAMP SITES:

  • Campsites are 25’ X 40’. Oversize lots are 25’ X 50’.

  • One site is provided per camping pass. Merging sites with others is permitted

  • All camping units must have adequate fire extinguishers.

  • Garbage:

    • Trash must be put into trash bags and placed along the roadside prior to going to the tractor pull. (Trash will be picked up while the event is going on.)

    • Garbage left on sites will result in EVICTION

    • Black Garbage bags and Clear bags will be provided. Clear bags will be ALCOHOLIC containers only.

  • BBQ & Fires:

    • BBQS and Grills are permitted

    • NO open fires. This excludes open flamed grills.

  • Pets are permitted if kept on a leash and quiet.

  • Generators are permitted providing they are quiet - Please respect your neighbors

  • The management is not responsible for accidents or injury to guests, or for loss of valuables of any kind.

PARKING:

  • Not more than one vehicle per camper permitted into campgrounds

  • NO UNAUTHORIZED off-road vehicles

  • 6 MPH MAX SPEED LIMIT

  • Fire lanes must be kept open at all times.
